Science

The Akiva Science curriculum is authentic and challenging; it provides memorable opportunities for our pupils.

At Akiva we aim to deliver an authentic science curriculum that challenges children and enables them to develop the skills to question, investigate and understand the world around them. Children will develop the necessary scientific knowledge and conceptual understanding through making scientific observations and asking questions. During their time at Akiva, children will develop and build on the skills required to answer their questions by designing and carrying out an effective investigation, using their conclusions and evaluations to further their learning. We create memorable experiences for the pupils by ensuring science lessons are practical and that they having hands-on science workshops.  These experiences ensure that children respond with wonderment and awe and develop a love and respect of science by exploring and understanding its uses and implications in the real world.
