Akiva School

Akiva starts the year with Winning Ways!

We have made a great start to the year:

Niki Bettis has been a teaching assistant and student teacher at Akiva and is now in her first year as a qualified teacher. She has, for five years been passionate and enthusiastic about developing outdoor learning in the school and has now been shortlisted for a prestigious award. This is so well deserved!

You can vote for her to win the Outstanding Educator award from the Learning Outside the Classroom Council at https://clotc.polldaddy.com/s/votes-for-awards-for-outstanding-contribution-to-lotc-2018

Thanks to Gaynor Collins, our Humanities lead for all her hard work on our application for the Geography Quality Mark, in which we have gained the silver award.

Thanks also to Sue Taylor who has led the development which has gained us the Gold accreditation for our Travel Plan.

Three accolades in as many weeks - Bravo Akiva!
